SUMMARY
File 05600033.EXE contains version 3.60 of the Samsung Magic
Power Pro 620 system BIOS. This software applies to the following
system: 501832-800.
CREATING THE DISKETTE
Insert a 3.5" formatted 1.44MB diskette into drive A: and run
the EXTRACT utility. This will transfer the diskette image file
to the floppy diskette.
USING THE SOFTWARE
To perform the BIOS update:
1. Start System Setup. You can make other changes to the system
configuration now, if you choose. Before going further, record
your System Setup configuration in appendix D, if you have not
already done so.
2. Place the BIOS update disk in the floppy drive. Press
[Ctrl+Home] and hold the keys down while you reset or power up
the system. Continue to hold the [Ctrl] and [Home] buttons down
until the system beeps twice.
Follow the instructions on the screen. The BIOS update takes
approximately 75 seconds. At the beginning of the process, the
computer beeps twice. During the update process, the computer
does not display messages to indicate update status, and it does
not accept keyboard input. At the end of a successful update, the
system beeps twice, then three times, and finally four times.
If the update is completed successfully, proceed to step 3. If
the computer beeps three times repetitively, the floppy drive is
not installed properly or there is a problem reading the
AMIBOOT.ROM file. Check the floppy installation, and try the
update again.
3. Remove the update disk from drive A and power up the system.
When prompted, press the [Del] key to access System Setup.
4. Enter System Setup and load the optimal default settings. Make
any changes necessary to restore your configuration and exit
System Setup, saving the changes.
5. Once you have verified your configuration and saved any
changes, reboot the computer to use the new BIOS.
