Once the compressed files have been extracted, consider the
following procedure to create the diskette:

1.  Create a \TEMP directory on the C: drive.

2.  Move the extracted files to the empty C:\TEMP directory.

3.  Close all applications and exit Windows.

NOTE:  If you are using Windows 95, access the MS-DOS prompt
using the MS-DOS Prompt icon in the Programs group.

4.  Enter the following command at the DOS prompt:

CD\TEMP

5.  Insert a blank, formatted, 3.5" 1.44MB diskette into the A:
drive.

6.  Enter the following command at the C:\TEMP> prompt:

EXTRACT

Entering this command will create the actual diskette.

7.  Enter the following command at the C:\TEMP> prompt:

CD\

8.  Delete the \TEMP directory using the following command:

DELTREE C:\TEMP

Press the <Y> key for Yes when asked if you want to delete the
directory and all its subdirectories.

NOTE:  If you are using Windows 95, enter the EXIT command to
close the DOS window.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
