SUMMARY

   File 05551037.EXE contains version 3.02 of the Advantage! 610/611 
   system BIOS. 
   
   This software applies to the following systems: 501693, 501711, 
   501712, 501766, 501796, and 501839.

   
RESOLUTIONS

   Fixed the M1sc issue where configuration registers were reset to 
   the defaulted values after a gate A20 or KBC reset.
   
   Fixed the issue where the onboard parallel port was always set at 
   3bch if AUTO, 378h or 278h was selected in SETUP.   


ENHANCEMENTS

   Enabled the LSSER bit in M1sc configuration register.   


PREVIOUS RELEASE(S)

   Release version 3.01 included the following resolutions and 
   enhancements:
   
   Fixed the issue in sending power down command to IDE drives.
   
   Fixed the issue in unmasking IRQ 15 before DIAG command was sent 
   to the primary IDE drives.
   
   Added 3BCh support for the parallel port configuration.  It is 
   required for passing the Windows 95 CT.
   
   Changed PnP ID for the onboard audio to make Windows 95 load the 
   SB16 driver for the onboard audio.
   
   Turned OFF the feature "Branch Target Buffer" on M1sc.

   Release version 3.00 included the following resolutions and 
   enhancements:
   
   Fixed system failing to warm boot with a Seagate 1GB drive, if 
   the drive was in power-down mode.
   
   Fixed the USER-DEFINED drive type failing to work.
   
   Fixed the system failing to boot if a CD-ROM drive was configured 
   as master on the primary IDE channel and was set to AUTO in 
   SETUP.
   
   Fixed system failing Win 95 tests.

   enhancements:
   
   Fixed the issue when configuration non-volatile memory (NVRAM) is 
   wiped out, Config Manager says that NVRAM is invalid, reporting

   Corrected the grammatical error in the Hard Disk Help Text.

   enhancements:
   
   Fixed a BIOS stack overflow issue that would cause QA/Plus' video 
   test to fail and PnP cards not being recognized.
   
   Fixed the issue of Windows 95 not being able to detect any PnP

   Added Plug and Play video support.
   
   Added audio support.
   
   Added DX2/50 support.
   
   Incorporated the new PnP code (Intel 1.21).
   
   Updated the EBI revision number from 3.00 to 3.10 in System 
   Environment Table.

   enhancements:
   
   Fixed the issue running EMM386 with NOEMS option.
   
   Removed the linear frame buffer resources in PnP device node and 
   vital statistics information for 5428.

   This was the initial release of the Advantage! Adventure 6066D 
   flash BIOS.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
