			VantagePCI Flash Initialization
			---------- ----- --------------

Installation:
-------------

The FLASH.EXE program along with the BOOTROM.SYS and RISC.BIN files
must all reside the same directory.

Usage:
------

The FLASH.EXE program is provided in order to allow clients to:

	1. Upgrade board firmware on boards containing older versions
(required when upgrading to a new driver release),

	2. Upgrade the system boot driver on boards containing older
versions (required when upgrading to a new driver release),

	3. Reset all configuration parameters to default values without
	   having to run scsiutil.exe or raidutil.exe, and/or

	4. Reinitialize a corrupted FLASH memory.

The command line format is as follows:

	FLASH [-d] [-b [BootFilename]] [-r [RiscFilename]] [-c ChanNum]

where: -d Resets all configuration values to defaults,
-b Updates the boot ROM driver, default filename
			   "BOOTROM.SYS" in the current directory,
-r Updates the RISC firmware, default filename
			   "RISC.BIN" in the current directory,
-c Specifies a channel number, ChanNum, to be
updated, starts at 0, default is update all,
BootFilename Pathname of boot filename, overriding the
			   default "BOOTROM.SYS", and
RiscFIlename Pathname of RISC firmware file, overriding the
			   default "RISC.BIN".

For example to reset all configuration values to default values and upgrade
the boot driver and firmware to their latest versions, use the following
command:

	FLASH -D -B -R

To perform just the boot driver and firmware updates:

	FLASH -B -R

Note that even if a specific channel is specified, any board encountered
which has invalid or incomplete flash contents will be rewritten.
