DAVICOM DMFE MDI Driver Installation Guide for SCO OpenServer V5.0

* How to make a install diskette ?

  Copy the whole directory <SCO> to your disketee


* Installing dmfe mdi driver to SCO OpenServer

1. Put the dmfe mdi driver install diskette in your floppy driver.
2. Enter "System Maintenance Mode"
3. Iuuse "scoadmin" to active sco system administrator
4. Select "Software Manager" item 
5. Using "Software->Install New" to install DMFE MDI driver into OpenServer.


* Program your network adapter

1. Enter "System Maintenance Mode"
2. Iuuse "scoadmin" to active sco system administrator
3. Select "Network" item
4. Select "Network Configuration Manager" item.
5. Using "Hardware->Add new LAN adapter" to insert Davicom Lan Card.
6. Fllowing the screen hints to program the network interface.
7. Select "Hardware->Exit" to quit and re-link the kernel.
8. reboot the system and network active.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
