Windows 3.1X AND Novell NetWare Information

This document describes how to configure the LAN PC Card
with Windows V3.1x (Not Windows for Workgroups) and
Novell NetWare.

NOTE: The following instructions assume you have not installed
any other network adapter in the notebook. If networking
has already been installed, some of the instructions will
      not apply.
Consult with your MIS department for further instructions.

Before installing the network driver, you should know the
transport used in the Novell Network (typically IPX/SPX) and
have access to the following software components:

    - Novell NetWare VLM Client disks for DOS and Windows
    - LAN PC Card and the LAN Installation Disk 2

Installation Instructions
1. Boot the PC in DOS. If the PC starts up in Windows,
exit Windows to return to the DOS prompt.

2. Place the Novell VLM client disk #1 in the floppy drive.
    Enter:

        a:\install [Enter].

This opens the NetWare client installation screen.

3. Use the down arrow key to move from line to line. Ensure
    that the information is correct.

When you are asked to select the driver for your network card,
press Enter to see the list of supported adapters.
At the bottom of the list, select Other Drivers.

4. When prompted for a driver disk, put LAN Installation Disk 2
in your A drive and press Enter.
The LAN PC Card should appear as the first item on the
    list.
Click to select it and press Enter.

5. Specify the frame type by pressing Enter and choosing the
appropriate type from the list. Press Enter to select your
choice. (You will not need to select an I/O Base. Use the
    default.)

the cursor on line 6 and press Enter. The installer

    installation is complete.

8. Remove any diskettes and reboot the notebook by pressing
