Introduction:
-------------
  This document shows you how to install Windows for Workgroup 3.11 NDIS
  driver.

  Location of Driver:     \WFW311\LNICND.DOS

Contents of the Subdirectory:
-----------------------------
    OEMSETUP.INF        The setup information file for WFW311.
    LNICND.DOS          The real mode NDIS2 driver.

Installation:
-------------
  Before starting with the installation process, make sure that the 
  adapter is properly installed and configured.

  Setup Procedure:
  ----------------
    1) Start the Windows for Workgroup 3.11.
    2) Click the "Network" icon in the Program Manager Window.
    3) Click the "Network Setup" icon in the Network Window.
    4) When the "Network Setup" dialog box appears, select "Drivers..."
       button.
    5) Select "Add Adapters..." from the "Network Drivers" dialog box.
    6) Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter".
    7) When the "Install Driver" window appears, insert the distribution
       diskette into drive A:, type "A:\WFW311" and press <Enter>.
    8) Press <Enter> to select "LG LNIC-10/100A Series Fast E-NET Card".
    9) Click "Setup..." , change "Driver Type" to "Real Mode NDIS Driver".
   10) Close each windows and restart the computer.
   11) If you select the ODI driver to connect to Netware and WFW,
       you have to copy the ODI driver LNICND.COM to windows directory
       and modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT file as follows:

      C:\WINDOWS\NET START
      LSL                     ;provided by NOVELL
      C:\WINDOWS\LNICND       ;LNIC-10/100A Series ODI driver.
      C:\WINDOWS\ODIHLP.EXE
      IPXODI                  ;provided by NOVELL, you can connect to
      VLM                     ;NOVELL Netware.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
