readme1st.txt Driver File Contents (Drivers.exe)

These are .inf files for NT4.0, WIN95/98, WIN2000 and MultiTech modems.
The only difference between these and the originals is that more modem models
are available.

To implement these files you need to rename the existing MultiTech
.inf file(s) (mdmmts.inf,mdmcpq.inf) to <filename>.old, and delete the
<filename>.pnf file(s) (if they exist). You can find them in the winnt\inf or
Windows\inf directory. Next you need to copy the proper .inf file (see below)
to the winnt\inf or windows\inf directory. Then all you need to do is add the
modem and a new database and .pnf file will be created that includes your
Multi-Tech modem.

In WinNT4.0, the modem will not Auto-Detect; instead, use the "Have Disk"
option and 'Browse' to the new INF file on your floppy disk or temporary
folder. In Win95/98, most modems will auto-detect with current firmware.
