ND5100(-E) PCMCIA adapter Windows 2000 Installation Guide

This installation guide was printed before the final release of
Windows 2000 and the following procedure was based on the RC3 version.
A final release Windows 2000 may be slightly different. Updated
installation procedures will be found at www.sohoware.com or on a
loose sheet inside the package.

step1. Turn on the power to the PC and start the Windows 2000
       operating system.

step2. The Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box will open.
       Click Next.

step3. Choose Search for a suitable driver for my device and
       click Next.

step4. Check Specify a location.  Click Next.

step5. Insert the ND5100 driver diskette. Type A:\WIN2K(or B:\WIN2K)
       and click OK.

step6. Click Next when Windows finds a driver for this device.

step7. An warning message of "Digital Signature Not Found" will
       show up on the screen. Select YES to ignore it and continue
       the new driver installation.

step8. Click Yes to begin copying the necessary driver files.

step9. On the Completing the Found New Hardware screen, click Finish.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
