Zonet ZEN3200 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Adapter Quick Installation Guide Introduction: Thanks for your purchase of the Zonet ZEN3200 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Adapter. This adapter was designed and manufactured to provide years of trouble free and reliable service. ZEN3200 is a high performance adapter compatible with version 2.1 of the PCI local bus specification and support Plug and Play (PnP) function, making it fully auto-configuration. The Zonet ZEN3200 supports full-duplex mode which can provide throughput up to 200Mbps when the twisted-pair port connecting through an Ethernet switching hub. This feature not only increases the channel bandwidth from 10M to 200Mbps but also avoids the performance degrading problem due to the characteristic of the Ethernet CSMA/CD protocol. The ZEN3200 includes a complete set of drivers for popular network operating systems. The optional BOOT ROM device allows a diskless workstation to connect to the network. One 3.5" driver diskette If any of these items are missing, please contact your reseller. Installation: Hardware Installation : 1. Turn OFF the computer, unplug the power cord and open the computer case. 2. Pick a free PCI bus master expansion slot and remove the expansion slot cover. Insert the adapter into the slot until it is fully seated. Secure the adapter. 3. Replace the computer cover and connect the network cable to the newly installed network adapter. Reconnect the computer's power cord and plug it into the power outlet. (Note: Zonet ZEN3200 is automatically configured when you power-on computer, In certain computers, however, you must modify BIOS by entering CMOS SETUP utility to enable PCI Device and map INTA to an appropriate address, Please refer to the PC's system documentation for details on configuration the PCI SYSTEM BIOS.) Driver Installation: Before connecting an ZEN3200 adapter to the network, you have to install the network driver first. The driver for each networking operating system is under a separate directory of the release diskette. In the directory, there is a .TXT file describing driver's installation procedure. Boot ROM Installation: The optional Boot ROM device allows you to connect a diskless workstation to the network. Please perform the following steps to install your Boot ROM device: 1. Power off PC. 2. Insert the Boot ROM into the socket on the adapter. 3. Power on PC and execute SETUP.EXE file in the release diskette to enable the remote boot function with a proper memory size (64K is suggested). 4. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
