INSTALL.TXT Driver File Contents (Ms_Dos_Driver_For_Soundblaster_SB0100._OEM_.zip)

This driver is compatible with MS-DOS 6.22 as well as the MS-DOS mode under Windows 95,
Windows 98, and Windows 98SE . This driver is not for the Windows OS, it is a driver
for MS-DOS 6.22 or MS-DOS mode only .

Creative does not give away MS-DOS drivers (or any drivers) on their website
for the Soundblaster Live 5.1 OEM PCI Soundcard model SB0100 .

Creative requires you to to have the original driver CD that came with the soundcard, then
you are required to install Windows 9x and then run the installation program on the
installation CD, then you must choose a custom installation and then select MS-DOS drivers
to be installed .

This driver bundle eliminates that time consuming process .

After the drivers in this driver bundle are loaded, the soundcard should be configured to
function with these settings:

Soundblaster address SB interface's base I/O address: 220
IRQ (Interrupt Request): 5
LowDMA Channel: 1
HighDMA channel: 5
MIDI Port MPU-401 UART interface’s base I/O address: 330
Joystick Port: 200
OPLPort: 388

If these default settings need to be changed, then you can use the sbeset.exe file
to set whatever you need to set manually, with the exception of the OPLPort .

The drivers that are included in this driver bundle are for the following:

Soundblaster Live 5.1 OEM PCI Soundcard Model SB0100 driver for MS-DOS

Oak Technology CD-ROM driver for MS-DOS OTI-91X Atapi CD-ROM Driver Rev D91XV352
(from the Windows 98SE bootdisk)

Mouse driver for MS-DOS

The CD-ROM and Mouse drivers will work for the most commonly found Mice and
IDE CD-ROM drives . The Mouse driver has not been tested for compatibility with USB Mice,
and will probably not work with a USB Mouse .
