 1.0 Installation Notes For Windows 95 OSR2 Users

    1. Start your PC, then insert the "Compu-Shack FASTline PCMCIA"
       into an available PC Card slot in your PC.

    2. After starting Windows 95, the "Compu-Shack FASTline PCMCIA"
       will be detected automatically, then the "Update Device Driver Wizard"
       window appears.

    3. Insert the "Compu-Shack FASTline PCMCIA" Installation diskette
       into drive A:, then click the "Next" button.

    4. Windows 95 will start to search floppy drive A: for network driver.

    5. Click the "Other Locations..." button, then type "A:\WIN95" in the
       "Select Other Location" window and click the "OK" button.

    6. Click the "Finish" button, then click "OK" button in the "Insert Disk"
       window.

    7. Type "A:\WIN95" in the "Copying Files..." window, then click the
       "OK" button.

    8. The Windows 95 starts to copy the driver to the user's hard disk.

    9. Click the "Yes" button to restart your computer when the Windows 95
       has finished setting up your hardware.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
