Jaton Modulator V.90 Internal Modem Firmware Version 2.200 (2Mbit) This Firmware is an update for Modulator V.90 (2 MBit Flash ROM) which also provide K56flex support. Do not use this modem firmware on Modulator 56 or Traveler 56 since there are only 1 MBit Flash ROM on those board. The instruction for using the utility is provided in FLASHCOM.HLP. This readme file may be referenced again from the help file. The following is a quick start quide for running the program. 1. In Win3x, use the File/Run command. In Win95 click the [Start] button and select Run. 2. Use the [Browse] button to locate the directory in which FlashCom is stored. 3. Select the FLASHCOM.EXE program file and click [OK] to bring this back into the Run dialog box. 4. Add /1 (or /2 or /3 or /4) to the end of the command line (indicating the COM port of the modem you want to upgrade). When FlashCom runs, it will check just the one specified port. In most cases, this should avoid some otherwise unavoidable lockups. If your modem does not appear in the Port list box, perhaps you have selected a wrong COM port. Refer to your Windows manual or modem user manual for modem configuration information. 5. Click [OK] to start FlashCom. Do not interrupt the upgrade process. If you failed to complete the software program, try to reload the program. If the modem stopped responding because of failed upgrade, your modem firmware may need be reprogrammed by hardware. Please contact Customer Support for assistance. If you have any question or problem with the upgrade utility, make sure you have read the Flashcom.hlp file before you call.
