USB camera Drivers and Utility Programs Version 2.0SC

This CD contains the drivers, utility programs and bundled software for the USB camera.

System Requirements:
- Pentium class 166MHz or faster processor
- 32MB memory
- USB port
- 16-bit (or higher) color display
- CD-ROM drive for software installation
- 50MB free hard disk space
- Windows 98/98SE/Me or Windows 2000/XP

This USB camera requires Windows with USB support. Windows 95 and Windows NT are not supported.

1.0 Starting the Installation Program
-------------------------------------

Note: Please run the installation program before connecting the USB camera to the computer. If you connect the USB camera to the computer before the drivers are installed, an Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box will appear and prompt you for the device driver. Please select Cancel to exit.

The installation program starts automatically when you insert the CD. 

To start the installation program manually, click the Start button then click Run. Enter: 

d:\setup

where d: is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive. Click the OK button. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the installation.

Installation of other bundled software is optional.

2.0 Installing Drivers
----------------------

After completed the install driver procedure as described in Section 1.0, you shall connect the USB camera to your computer to install drivers.
1. Connect the USB camera to the USB port of your computer.
2. You may be prompted for the Windows CD, please have it available.
3. If the USB camera being installed has a microphone option, an 'Add New Hardware Wizard' will guide you through the installation of this portion of the device.
4. The rest of the installation will complete automatically.

3.0 User's Manuals

User's Manuals of the bundled software at PDF format are located at folder \Manual of this CD. You need the Acrobat Reader software to read those manuals. If your system do not have such software, go to folder \Acrobat Reader to install it.

4.0  Uninstalling the Drivers
-----------------------------

There are two tasks that need to be done to uninstall the drivers of the camera.

IC100
-----

A. Removing the camera through the Device Manager
1. Connect the camera to the computer.
2. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
3. Double-click System and click on the Device Manager tab.
4. Select 'Icatch(IV) Still Camera Device' and 'Icatch(IV) Video Camera Device' from the Imaging Device.
- In Windows 98/Me, click the Remove button and follow the on-screen instructions.
- In Windows 2000/XP, right-click and select Uninstall, then follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Close the Device Manager.
6. Unplug the camera and restart your computer.

B. Removing the driver software
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, select 'Icatch(IV) PC Camera' from the list then click Add/Remove.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstall.

IC300

A. Removing the camera through the Device Manager
1. Connect the camera to the computer.
2. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
3. Double-click System and click on the Device Manager tab.
4. Select 'Conexant VGA Camera' from the Imaging Device list
- In Windows 98/Me, click the Remove button and follow the on-screen instructions.
- In Windows 2000/XP, right-click and select Uninstall, then follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Close the Device Manager.
6. Unplug the camera and restart your computer.

B. Removing the driver software
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, select 'Conexant VGA Camera' from the list then click Add/Remove.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstall.

You have completely removed the drivers software and associated registry entries. The next time the device is plugged in to the computer it will require a reinstallation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
