WAITEC T-REX i think many people had my problem (everyone buying Waitec T-Rex). i installed the CD-Rw drive and only CDR-Win 3.8d was able to use it. the reason is that there was a production error, and the id string of the drive was programmed with two spaces between "Waitec" and "T-Rex", so it couldn't be found by cdr-software. this file is to overwrite the old string with a new correct one. hope this will be useful. ubaldo.defeo@fastwebnet.it ciao-ubi ****************************************************** ********************IMPORTANT************************* ****************************************************** The tool is made for repairing Waitec T-Rex ID-string. How does it work? Start InqWrite.exe The first step is to select the Waitec T-Rex. BE SURE IT IS THE WAITEC T-REX WITH THE WRONG ID STRING. OTHERWISE IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE. Now you can press "write execute", and the led on your drive will flash for a second. After you execute a window will appear. Press OK. Then SHUT DOWN your Computer. (NOT A REBOOT THIS WILL NOT WORK!!) When you start your computer again the ID-string is repaired.
