Insert the LAN Support diskette in Drive A. 2. Run the install program. A:\> DXMAID [Enter] The following message then appears: "Do you have driver diskettes?" [Yes] 3. Use the Spacebar to switch between "no" and "yes". 4. After copying LAN Support, specify the drive and path of the DOS NDIS files. (Insert the Ethernet driver diskette in Drive A:) For example: A:\NDIS\DOS [Enter] The installation procedure terminates after copying the necessary file. Method 2 -- Modifying the contents of the CONFIG.SYS and PROTOCOL.INI files after installing other NICs: 1. Copy the DE620.DOS file to the directory where your IBM LAN Support program resides. 2. Modify the NDIS device driver statement in the CONFIG.SYS as follows: DEVICE = [drive]:\path\DE620.DOS 3. Modify the PROTOCOL.INI file as follows: BINDINGS = DE620IBM_NIF : : [DE620IBM_NIF] DRIVERNAME = DE620$ ******************************************************** * Installing the NDIS driver to IBM LAN Services v4.0 * ******************************************************** 1. Execute the installation program from the IBM DOS LAN SERVICES diskette. Type: >a:\install 2. From the Network card field, select "Network card not shown in list below ...". 3. Specify the path for the corresponding oemsetup.inf file of the OEM driver you intend to use. Then, press Enter. The program then displays the driver name. 4. Check that the driver configuration is correct. 5. Continue the installation to its completion. 6. After completion of the installation procedure, restart your system to use the DOS LAN Services.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
