Trident VPM v8.25.1055 8-25-97 for Windows 95.
Live Video Driver installation (and removal) for those systems that contain a Trident 975 Video Card.

This driver will allow you to capture video, via a suitable capturing device connected to the video card, 
and with the use of such applications that may offer this feature.

After download and extraction to a floppy...

To Install:  
1.  Click on the "Start" button on the task bar and select "Run..."
2.  In the dialog box that opens, type "A:\Setup.exe".  

Setup runs via the Trident AVI Drivers Setup Wizard.  Its default directory is C:\WINDOWS\avidrv.

To verify proper installation:  
1.  Click on the "Start" button on the task bar and select Settings\Control Panel.
2.  With the Control Panel window open, select the "Multimedia" icon.
3.  With the Multimedia Properties window open, select the "Advanced" tab.
4.  Double click on "Video Capture Devices" to expand this category.
5.  If "Trident Video Capture Driver" is listed under this catagory, then the drivers have been installed properly.

To Uninstall:  
1.  Click on the "Start" button on the task bar and select Programs\Trident AVI Drivers\Remove Trident AVI Drivers.

Uninstall runs via Trident AVI Drivers Setup Wizard.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
