Issue an executive file: * * * * At the DOS prompt, type: * * ENEP16 [/irq:X] [/iop:XXX] * * * * For more details, refer to inst_dos.txt. * ****************************************************************** Modifying an existing NetWare 3.12 Server ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Make a sub-directory NLMS.OLD under <SRVPATH> directory which include SERVER.EXE. Ex. <SRVPATH> = SRV312. >MD \SRV312\NLMs.OLD Save NBI31X.NLM, MSM31X.NLM and ETHERTSM.NLM to NLMS.OLD sub-directory. Please insert release driver diskette into floppy disk. Copy all provided NLM and LAN files into your dos directory which include SERVER.EXE. >COPY <PATH>\*.* C:\<SRVPATH> <PATH> here is the directory where support NLMs and EP16.LAN reside. Ex. >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW312\EP16.LAN C:\SRV312 >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW312\NBI31X.NLM C:\SRV312 >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW312\MSM31X.NLM C:\SRV312 >COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER\NW312\ETHERTSM.NLM C:\SRV312 <PATH> here is the directory where support NLMs and EP16.LAN reside. Start the NetWare Server. > CD \SRV312 > SERVER From the Novell Server side, execute "LOAD INSTALL". Type: LOAD INSTALL Select <System Options> Select <Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF File> Add below item into the server's AUTOEXEC.NCF file. LOAD C:\SRV312\NBI31X.NLM LOAD C:\SRV312\MSM31X.NLM LOAD C:\SRV312\ETHERTSM.NLM LOAD C:\SRV312\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_802.3 NAME=EP16_1_E83 BIND IPX EP16_1_E83 NET=xxxx LOAD C:\SRV312\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 NAME=EP16_1_E82 BIND IPX EP16_1_E82 NET=xxxx LOAD C:\SRV312\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_II NAME=EP16_1_EII BIND IPX EP16_1_EII NET=xxxx LOAD C:\SRV312\EP16 PORT=300 INT=3 FRAME=Ethernet_SNAP NAME=EP16_1_ESP BIND IPX EP16_1_ESP NET=xxxx Note: the PORT and INT parameters should be set as the values which are set by ENEP16.EXE. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
