The EZ Card™ Fast Ethernet PCI Card with Personal Firewall (SMC1255TX) combines the high performance of a 10/100 Mbps networkadapter and the functionality of a full-featured firewall into one perfect solution.The EZ Card™ PCI Adapter comes with two free software applications – SMC Etherguard Personal Firewall and WinEtool Personal Sniffer.The SMC Etherguard application provides an efficient software firewall that can filter traffic based on website name, IP address, and TCP/UDP protocol,while the WinEtool application monitors your network traffic with a built-in Wake-on-LAN packet generator and packet analysis tool. These tools monitor each packet of data as it is sent through your network. 

The EZ Card™ Fast Ethernet PCI Card with Personal Firewall (SMC1255TX) provides a solid network connection while the included software, SMC Etherguard Personal Firewall and WinEtool PersonalSniffer, protects and manages your network. SMC Etherguard, the personal firewall application, records both the IP address of individuals attempting to access your network and previously visited websites. In addition, this software will also block Trojan Horses from destroying your files. The WinEtool Sniffer application monitors and tracks all of the activity on your network to ensure that intruders are kept out. How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
