----------------------------------------------------- LaCie USB2 Storage Driver Installer (v1.0.4) Release Notes - September 2002 ----------------------------------------------------- Thank you for downloading the latest LaCie USB2 Storage Driver installer for your LaCie USB 2.0 CD-RW, DVD, Hard Disk and/or Tape backup drive. Please use the included "LaCie_USB_Driver_Install" executable to install the latest USB 2.0 device drivers for your Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP computer. Before installing the LaCie USB2 Storage Driver, make sure you remove any previously installed LaCie or TPPINST_5xx USB 2.0 drivers and make your LaCie USB 2.0 drive is not connected. TO REMOVE PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED USB 2.0 DRIVERS Go to Start, Setting, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and select and remove the 'TPP Storage Driver Installation' and/or 'USB2 Storage Adapter V3 (LaCie)'. Upon successful removal, you will be asked to reboot your Windows computer. Please do so. Once drivers are removed, run and install the "LaCie_USB_Driver_Install" executable. TO INSTALL LACIE USB2 STORAGE DRIVER Double-click the "LaCie_USB_Driver_Install" executable and click Next, then Finish. Once you have successfully installed the LaCie USB 2.0 drivers, you are ready to use your LaCie USB 2.0 drive. IMPORTANT! For Windows XP users, during the installation, you will be prompted that the driver installation is not "Windows XP certified". Please continue with the installation. The LaCie USB2 Storage Driver is qualified by LaCie to run on Windows XP computers, but is not Microsoft "Windows XP Logo" certified. IMPORTANT! Windows Device Manager must not have a "?", "!" or "x" on the USB 2.0 host controller icons. If the Device Manager has problems detecting or recognizing the USB 2.0 host controller, your USB 2.0 drive will not function properly. Please check your PC system or USB 2.0 card manufacturer for technical assistances before connecting your USB 2.0 drive.Download Driver Pack
