README SUPPLEMENT FOR ADOBE PS DRIVERS

1. Paper Tray Selection
If the selected paper input tray contains wrong size paper, the printer prints
the document on the paper in the selected tray. A part of the image may be
missing if the paper size in the tray is smaller than your document size.

2. Collate printing with CorelDraw8 is not supported
(Windows95/98 and WindowsNT4.0)
When collate and duplex printing are selected, printing an odd number page
document will print the first page of the second copy on the back of the last
page of the first copy.

3. MS Word98 document with mixed orientation.
(Macintosh)
Printing of Macintosh MS Word98 document with mixed paper orientation may
produce unexpected result if multiple copies, staple, or duplex is selected.

4. Document may be rotated 90 degrees.
(Macintosh)
A document may print 90 degrees rotated on some paper sizes. To avoid this
problem, change the printer driver to AdobePS8.6 or later.

5. Custom Page Size.
PostScript3 supports the custom paper size paper in the bypass tray only.

6. Staple
As the stapler is physically fixed in the finisher, the finisher staples all
documents at the upper left corner of the paper when you see it from in front
of the printer.

7. Printing from Macintosh PageMaker
When printing a document from Macintosh PageMaker, the printer may show
"Load Letter" on the operation panel and wait for letter paper.
In order to avoid this wait, set letter paper in one of the input tray, or
turn off Macintosh "Background Print".
(Note you have to turn off "Background Print" from the Finder.)

8. Printing Custom Size Document from MS-Word
(Windows95/98 and WindowsNT4.0)

When printing a custom size document from MS-Word, the printout may not fit on
the paper even if the printer has the specified paper size in the bypass tray.
To avoid this problem, set up the desired custom paper size in the driver
properties before you start MS-Word.
The followings briefly explain the procedure to set up a custom paper size.

Note:
Do not set up a custom paper size from within the application's Print dialog.
Creating or changing a new custom paper size does not take effect after the
application is closed. In addition, the printout may not fit on paper even if
the printer has the specified paper size in the bypass tray.
