        Thank you for purchasing the National Semiconductor Corp. DP83815
        10/100Mbps MacPhyter3v PCI Adapter.
        This diskette has network driver support for the adapter.

        Additionally, the NSC DP83815 adapter supports Wait-on-LAN feature
        in Windows 2000, allowing the system with a DP83815 adapter card to
        be remotely configured.
        The DP83815 adapter card supports PCI rev 2.1 systems which requires
        a 3-pin connector for system wake-up as well as PCI rev 2.2 system
        which can be awakened by the PME# signal on the PCI bus.

        The HELP.EXE will guide you the instructions of driver
        installation. Please run HELP.EXE at the DOS environment.
        Before running the HELP.EXE, install the DP83815 adapter card into
        the PCI slot of desktop.

        A Diagnostics program is provided to verify the connection between
        the NSC DP83815 adapter and the hub or switch.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
