 Introduction
 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Thank you for purchasing the IC-CARD PCMCIA Ethernet card.
This diskette with network driver support for the IC-CARD PCMCIA
Ethernet card. There is a format change for this driver disk. All
READMEs have been reformatted, any easy setup program, and
        consistency on all documentation provided.

NEC98xx drivers are not for NEC computers that are commonly sold
in the North America (ie. VERSA). In Japan one of the most popular
PCs is a non-DOS compatible called the NEC 9800 series of laptops.
Unless the Laptop is specifically marked with NEC9800 or compatible
, only select the "IBM PC or compatible" item.

During 1996, IC-CARD will change all driver disks to ARJ compression
for better driver management and provisions for even more drivers
to the disk. We hope our new readmes and installation will minimize
the users effort to make our products work.

 Requirements
 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
	A PCMCIA compatible Laptop
A PCMCIA chipset that is PCIC compatible (Intel, Cirrus, Vadem, and
	 VLSI) or Databook compatible.

A IC-CARD (our single media cards are not supported)
A knowledge of basic DOS commands and editing text files

 Minimum Skill Level
 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
A knowledge of basic DOS commands

 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Installation program is provided to assist ease of setup for users.
Installation program will configure PCMCIA drivers, install the
appropriate network drivers for popular network operating systems,
and run diagnostics on the IC-CARD.

Before running Installation program, please make a backup copy of
your diver diskette. Then simply run INSTALL.EXE program in the root
of the driver disk(ie. A:\INSTALL<Enter>). Installation will copy
selected driver to the destination directory.

If the network operating system you are using is not covered by the
installation program, refer to the individual documentation provided
	for each driver directory.

 Driver Directory Structure
 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
The network drivers on this disk is organized in the following
structure. Each directory contains a README.TXT file which
provides you with detailed installation instructions for drivers
	in that directory:

These new drivers will support the complete IC-CARD PCMCIA
Ethernet adapter series. All drivers will automatically detect
the hardware information including I/O base address and IRQ.
The network media connector type will also be automatically
	detected during driver initialization.
