Installing the Support Kit

Use the following procedure to copy the files:

1 You must have clearVISN V1.1A installed. Also, you must have opened
Multichassis Manager at least once before performing this procedure.
If MultiChassis Manager is running, close the application before installing
   the files.

2 Find the directory where MultiChassis Manager resides. By default, the directory
   is \clearVIS\hubwatch.

3 Create backup copies of the following files in this directory:

 hwlitestack.dll

 switchvw.dll

 swsum.dll

 hw_mib.dat

4 If you are installing from the Internet, locate the following URL,
  depending on your location:

 Americas http://www.networks.digital.com/dr/clearvsn

 Europe http://www.networks.europe.digital.com/dr/clearvsn

 Australia http://www.networks.digital.com.au/dr/clearvsn

If you are installing this kit from a diskette, go to step 6.

5 From the clearVISN home page, select "Patches and Upgrades."

6 Download or copy the four files to the directory where MultiChassis
Manager resides. By default, the directory is \clearVIS\hubwatch.

7 Edit the hubwatch.ini file. Locate the following line in the file:

 	 Switch Summary - VN900FEMX=212,swsum.dll

8 Insert the following line below the previous line, making sure
	  to keep the same case.

  	 Switch Summary - VN900XX=213,swsum.dll

Notes:

• This line launches the Switch Summary window when you double click the VNswitch 900XX
front bezel from the MultiChassis Manager front panel.

• MultiChassis Manager will create a new hubwatch.ini file if one does not exist.
If this happens, repeat step 7.

9 You can now use MultiChassis Manager V6.0A to manage the VNswitch 900XX
and MultiSwitch 612EX, without rebooting your pc.
