Readme file for Aero 1500/2100 softpaq 12530.


Instructions for installing softpaq 12530:

1) Unpack the softpaq files to the directory of your choice, 
   as directed in the softpaq text file.

2) Connect your Aero 1500/2100 to your pc by the serial cable 
   or cradle. It is not necessary to establish a partnership. 
   The installation can also be completed if the device is 
   attached as a guest.  If the device has a partnership with 
   the host computer, wait for synchronization to complete.

3) Using Windows Explorer, go to the directory that you unpacked 
   the softpaq files into.  Select and move to the proper 
   subdirectory based on the language of your unit.  For English, 
   go to the USA directory.  For German, go to the GER directory.
   For French, go to the Fra directory.  For Spanish, go to the 
   ESP directory.  For Italian, go to the ITA directory.

4) From the proper directory selected in Step 3, execute the 
   setup.exe program.  This program will check the memory available 
   on the device, and also the language of the device. The setup 
   program displays one checkbox. This box is selected (checked) 
   by default, and must remain selected for the serial driver to 
   be installed.

5) Verify that the setup program is displaying a non-zero number 
   for the amount of memory needed, and for the serial driver file.
   These numbers will initially be zero, but will change to 38k 
   after the serup program determines the device's language and 
   available memory.  If the numbers remain zero, you may have 
   selected an incorrect language directory to run the program from.

6) Click the OK button to begin the installation.  The setup program 
   will display a progress dialog with information on the source and 
   destination file being copied.

7) After the file copy completes, you will receive a message box 
   asking you to reset the device.  Use the stylus to press the reset
   button on the back of the unit, and verify that the unit resets 
   correctly. 

8) To verify ir communication, synchronize or transfer files with 
   your PC or other ir capable device.
