In the File Manager:

1. Make the \FDK\FONTMSTR directory the current directory.
2. Double-click on the SETUP.EXE icon.
3. When the dialog box appears, either change the name of a directory to install
FontMeister in, or accept the default name. Choosing "C:\FONTMSTR" is
   recommended.
4. Click the "Continue" button.

This will build a new directory and place the FontMeister executable in it,
along with its initialization and documentation files.

Setting up FontBuilder
======================

1. Open a new window and copy the \FDK\FONTKIT and \FDK\FONT directories
to the root directory of your hard drive (for example, C:\).

You should now have a C:\FONTKIT directory and a C:\FONT directory, which contain a
number of files. You can run FontBuilder by double-clicking on the FNTBLDER.EXE icon
in this directory.

Windows 3.1 only:
You can also create an icon to run FontBuilder from the Program Manager.
This can be done by performing the following steps:

2. In the "File" menu, select "New."
3. Select "Program Item," and click OK.
4. Next to "Description," type "FontBuilder".
5. Next to "Command Line," type C:\FONTKIT\FNTBLDER.EXE.
6. Next to "Working Directory," type C:\FONTKIT and click OK.

An icon labeled "FontBuilder" should appear in one of the Program Manager groups.
You may drag it into any of the other program groups if you wish.
