SETUP.EXE is a utility that runs on any Microsoft Windows platform.
Its purpose is to install files necessary to customize HP Web JetAdmin 5.x or
HP Web JetAdmin 6.x, for Tally Line Printers, on a Windows NT/Windows 2000
server.
Requirements:
* HP Web JetAdmin is installed on a Windows NT or 2000 server
* The user has administrator priveleges on the same server
* The user knows the location of the HP Web JetAdmin installation - the
default location on a server is: C:\Program Files\HP Web JetAdmin
* This utility must be installed at the root level of the drive you are
running it from.
After successfully customizing Web JetAdmin, this utility may be deleted.
Web JetAdmin 5.x
----------------
The files found in the drive:\web_jet_customization\wj5x folder will be copied
to the server. These files allow Web JetAdmin to uniquely identify all
Web JetAdmin enabled Tally Line Printers.
Uninstall
---------
The utility has no uninstall function to reverse the customization process.
However, the files contained in the drive:\web_jet_customization\wj5x folder
will be found in the following folders on the server:
\HP Web JetAdmin\doc\device\tally_*.glf
\HP Web JetAdmin\doc\device\icons\*.gif
\HP Web JetAdmin\doc\device\images\*.gif
\HP Web JetAdmin\doc\device\status\ribbon.gif
Simply delete the files which correspond to those found in
drive:\web_jet_customization\wj5x, and you have "uninstalled" the
Tally Web JetAdmin customization kit.
Web JetAdmin 6.x
----------------
The files found in the drive:\web_jet_customization\wj6x folder will
be copied to the server. These files allow Web JetAdmin to uniquely
identify all Web JetAdmin enabled Tally Line Printers. Web JetAdmin 6.x
requires the presence of these files in order to take full advantage of
the Printer Management capabilities built into the Tally Line Printers.
Uninstall
---------
The utility has no uninstall function to reverse the customization process.
However, the files contained in the drive:\web_jet_customization\wj6x folder
will be found in the following folder on the server:
\HP Web JetAdmin\doc\device\tally_*\*.*
Simply delete the tally folders which correspond to those found in
drive:\web_jet_customization\wj6x, and you have "uninstalled" the
Tally Web JetAdmin customization kit.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
