Perform the following procedures to upgrade the firmware
Procedure:
1. It is recommended that you create a new folder in your HD for
all of the files extracted.
Notice that you can see six files after extracting as below:
flash32.exe - upgrading program
loader.abo - auxiliary file
SP3000U_402.atm - the firmware
SP3000U_402.hex - the firmware
readme.txt - this file
2. Intsall SP3000U with your PC and confirm the modem can work on Windows 98.
3. Double-click flash32.exe.
4. The " Choose File to Download " dialog box will appear.
Select SP3000U_402.atm/SP3000U_402.hex as your target file.
5. After select the code of the firmware, please open it. Then, the Flash Loader program will
start to dowunload the firmware.
6. When the system displays "Flash Programming Completed", please click OK and restart
Widows 98
Now, the firmware has downlaoded successfully.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
