       TRAVEL FLOPPY 144 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

       This file contains the latest information about the Travel
       Floppy 144 not included in the User's Guide.


       I.    CARD AND SOCKET SERVICES

         1.  Phoenix Card and Socket Services version 2.00, vendor
             2.22

             If your computer system is using this Card and Socket
             service, the /A switch must be used when installing the
             driver PPCFD.SYS. (See Troubleshooting Tips on page 13 
             of the User's Guide.)

         2.  SystemSoft Card and Socket Services version 2.01

             If your computer system is using this Card and Socket
             Service, the system must be booted prior to the
             insertion of a PCMCIA card.

      II.    HP OMNIBOOK MODELS 530 AND 4000 
         
         1.  The statement,  <SYSTEMSOFTONE=1>  must be appended to
             the following CONFIG.SYS statement: 
             <DEVICEHIGH /l:1,53216=C:\CARDSOFT\CS.EXE> to now read:
             <DEVICEHIGH /1:1,53216=C:\CARDSOFT\CS.EXE /SYSTEMSOFTONE=1>

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
