< To install driver manually in CONFIG.SYS >

   device = C:\CD-ROM\D91XV340.SYS /S:(address),(IRQ),(switch) /D:mscd001 /BMx

   /S:

   -----------------------------------------------------
       address IRQ Port
   -----------------------------------------------------
     1FOH to 1F7H 14 Primary port
     170H to 177H 15 Secondary port
     1E8H to 1EFH 11 or 12 Tertiary port
     168H to 16FH 10 or 11 Quaternary port
   -----------------------------------------------------

   -----------------------------------------------------
       switch
   -----------------------------------------------------
         0 master
         1 slave
   -----------------------------------------------------

    /BMx

Setup the DMA transfer mode by specifying the value 0,1 or 2 for"x".if not
setup this option, default DMA transfer mode of the CD-ROM will be applied.
    ----------------------------------------------------
         x transfer rate (ATA specification)
    ----------------------------------------------------
         0 4.167 MB/s
         1 13.33 MB/s
         2 16.67 MB/s
    ----------------------------------------------------

   lastdrive =z

last valid drive letter,DOS defaults to 'e'. If you have 3 or more hard disks,
or RAM disks, this must be used to expand the number of letters available.

   Example:

       device = D91XV340.SYS /D:mscd001 /S:170,15,0 /BM

< To install Microsoft MSCDEX.EXE via AUTOEXEC.BAT >

  mscdex /d:mscd001 /l:<drive letter> /m:15

/d: Name of CD-ROM device driver.Must match the value specifies in config.sys.

/l: Specifies the drive letter to use for CD-ROM, If this, "/l:<drive letter>"
is not here, the next avaliavle drive letter is used.

/m: Switch determines how many sector buffers MSCDEX will allocate when it
install itself. The larger this value is,the more sector cache entries
are available and the less MSCDEX will have to read directly from the
drive. It is especially important that there be enough entries to cache
the path table, and the more entries avaliable for directory sectors,
the less MSCDEX will have to reread the directory files.
Typically, each drive should have at a minimum about 4-5 buffers per drive
but the larger this value is ,the better the performance will be.

  General Notes
******************************************************************************

  1. If you run the installation program SETUP.EXE,it will automatically insert
the necessary commands in the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files.

  2. You do not need manual setup because the device driver automatically
detects IRQ,PRIMARY/SECONDARY/TERTIALY/QUATERNARY and the port address
     of which CD-ROM is conneted.

  3. This CD-ROM is designed according to the specificaation of IDE/ATAPI inter-
face. Be sure to connect the CD-ROM to IDE/ATAPI interface. Otherwise, the
installation may cause malfuction or trouble in your system and/or the CD-ROM
     .

******************************************************************************
   Notes for Windows95 Environments
******************************************************************************

If you do not use the setup program , you must set the following conditions.

  1. Windows95 does not have AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS. You need to make these
files and save to the route directory C:\.

  2. Windows95 does not have the directory C:\DOS. You need to make it.

  3. You need to copy the MSCDEX.EXE file of the directory C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND to
     the directory C:\DOS.
