Release Notes for Release 8 - 12/6/94

 1. Two drivers are supplied with this release; a headset
    driver and a speakerphone driver. The headset driver
    has better Call Progress detection than the speakerphone
    driver and can be used with a compatible headset plugged
    into the speaker/mic jack on the back of the modem.

 2. Debug output can be enabled by changing statements
    to the SYSTEM.INI file. Change the following line

    DebugLevel=0

    to

    DebugLevel=4

    in the [MDRVWAVE], [MDRV0500], and [MDRV0501] sections.
    Also, debug output from the TAPI driver can be controlled
    by placing a DebugLevel=4 statement in the [Provider1]
    section of the TELEPHON.INI file in the Windows directory.

    Debug output can be captured using the DBWIN program.

    NOTE: If you have debugging enabled, you might get
          a "Can't write to device AUX" message when
          Windows boots. This usually not a problem,
          just click on "Cancel".

 3. If a Full Install is selected, the Wave driver will be
    installed as the first wave driver in the system. If the
    system already has another sound card installed, it is
    possible to install the wave driver as a second or third
    driver. Select Custom Install and disable the "Update
    SYSTEM.INI for Wave" section. You will need to manually
    edit the SYSTEM.INI file to add the entry

    waveN=MDRV050n.DRV

    where N is a number from 1 to 9 indicating the Sierra wave
    driver's position in the system. Note that the first
    wave driver will be wave, the second wave1, etc.
