WEBGLIDER Multilink-PPP Installation

The WEBGLIDER must be connected to your computer. You will
need to know the COM port to which the WEBGLIDER is assigned.
Before running the flash utility, unplug the WEBGLIDER's power
supply.

1. Insert the diskette containing the FLASH.EXE program into your
floppy drive.

2. Type "FLASH" followed by the name of the BIOS file, which has
".BIN" extension. Follow the file name with the number of the
assigned COM port. EXAMPLE: FLASH NCUS114A.BIN 2 (where FLASH
is the command, NCUS114A.BIN the BIOS file name, and 2 is the
assigned COM port).

3. When the message "Resetting ISDN-TA..." appears, reconnect the
power adapter to the WEBGLIDER.

Troubleshooting

1. The message, "Cannot open download file ******.bin" appears.
Check the directory on the diskette for the correct file name.

2. The message "Resetting ISDN-TA..." appears, but nothing seems
to be happening. Make sure the WEBGLIDER is properly connected to
your computer. Disconnect the power supply to the WEBGLIDER. Then
run the FLASH program again. When the message appears again,
re-connect the power supply to the WEBGLIDER.

3. You are not sure which BIOS file you are supposed to use.
Check the directory on the diskette. The name of the file will
have a .BIN extension. Example: NCUS114A.BIN.

Configuration Options for Windows 95

Three configuration options are provided with the WEBGLIDER
driver for Windows 95. These include : V.120, PPP, amd ML-PPP
(Multilink PPP). During installation, select the configuration
you intend to use. The Windows 95 Dialer and Winsock will use the
assigned configuration.

Users of Windows 3.x and other Operating Systems

To enable Multilink PPP, add the following to end of your
initialization string:

&Q3&B3

When the same number is to be dialed twice during Multilink-PPP
operation, the destination number needs to be specified only
once. This will tell the WEBGLIDER to dial that number twice
(once on each B-channel, e.g., ATDT5551000 dialed twice).

If the numbers are different, both numbers must be specified.
This will tell the WEBGLIDER to dial one number for each
B-channel (e.g., ATDT5551000+5552000).

The &Q command controls whether V.120 or PPP mode is selected.
The command &B determines how many B-channels are selected.
