IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard - Readme Instructions
1.0 - July 10, 2001

I. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Software:
Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium, Windows 2000

Hardware:
IBM or IBM-compatible PC with PS/2 ports.
SK-8810 IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard


II. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To install the software for your IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard, please follow
below steps:

1. Turn your system off.
2. Connect your IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard to the PS/2 keyboard port of your PC.
3. Turn your system on and start Windows.
4. Run the setup program within this package to install the software for
   your IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard.

If you would like to do manual installation by updating driver with Device
Manager, please follow below steps:

- Windows 98 or Windows 98 Second Edition -
1.  Turn your system off.
2.  Connect your IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard to the PS/2 keyboard port of your PC.
3.  Turn your system on and start Windows.
4.  Open the Control Panel by clicking Settings from Start Menu.
5.  Double-click System icon and select Device Manager tab.
6.  Expand the devices under Keyboard, locate the device you want to update (
    for example, "Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyvoard") and
    double-click on it.
7.  In Properties page, select the Driver tab and click on the "Update Driver..."
    button.
8.  Click "Next" button in the showing dialog.
9.  Choose "Display a list of the known drivers for this device, so you can
    select the driver you want" item and click "Next" button.
10. Click "Have Disk..." button. In the "Install From Disk" dialog, input the
    right path of driver (for example, "A:\98") or click "Browse..." button to
    look for driver manually then Click "OK" .
11. Choose "IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard" and click "Next" button.
12. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.

- Windows Millennium -
1.  Turn your system off.
2.  Connect your IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard to the PS/2 keyboard port of your PC.
3.  Turn your system on and start Windows.
4.  Open the Control Panel by clicking Settings from Start Menu.
5.  Double-click System icon and select Device Manager tab.
6.  Expand the devices under Keyboard, locate the device you want to update (
    for example, "Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyvoard") and
    double-click on it.
7.  In Properties page, select the Driver tab and click on the "Update Driver..."
    button.
8.  Select "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)" item and click "Next"
    button.
9.  Choose "Display a list of the known drivers for this device, so you can
    select the driver you want" item and click "Next" button.
10. Click "Have Disk..." button. In the "Install From Disk" dialog, input the
    right path of driver (for example, "A:\Me") or click "Browse..." button to
    look for driver manually then Click "OK" .
11. Choose "IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard" and click "Next" button.
12.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.

- Windows 2000 -
1.  Turn your system off.
2.  Connect your IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard to the PS/2 keyboard port of your PC.
3.  Turn your system on and start Windows.
4.  Open the Control Panel by clicking Settings from Start Menu.
5.  Double-click System icon and select Hardware tab.
6.  Click "Device Manager..." button to launch the Device Manager.
7.  Expand the devices under Keyboards, locate the device you want to update (
    for example, "Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyvoard") and
    double-click on it.
8.  In Properties page, select the Driver tab and click on the "Update Driver..."
    button.
9.  Click "Next" button in the showing dialog.
10. Select "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can
    choose a specific driver" item and click "Next" button in "Install Hardware
    Device Drivers" dialog.
11. Click "Have Disk..." button in the "Select Device Driver" dialog. In the
    "Install From Disk" dialog, input the right path of driver (for example, "A:\Nt")
    or click "Browse..." button to look for driver manually then Click "OK" .
12. Choose "IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard" and click "Next" button.
13. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.


III. UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To remove this software, please follow below steps:

1. Open the Control Panel by clicking Settings from Start Menu.
2. Open the "Add/Remove Program" and select the "IBM Wireless Navigator Pro Keyboard"
   from the list.
3. Click on the "Add/Remove" button and follow the instructions to
   complete uninstallation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
