Windows 2000/XP Printer Driver for Genicom ANSI series product.

Setting up the Driver
---------------------

To install the driver perform the following steps:

Windows 2000/XP First Time Installation
---------------------------------------

- Select Browse and select the folder with the downloaded file GNA2KXP.EXE.
- Proceed through the installer and select the Genicom printer you wish
  to use. If you wish to install another copy of the driver, simply proceed
  through the installation and a 'Copy' will be installed
  e.g. Genicom 4810 Copy 1.
- By default the driver will install onto the parallel port LPT1. If you
  wish to change this, select Start->Settings->Printers under 2000
  or Start->Printers and Faxes under XP, followed by File, Properties.
  The setting is changed under the 'Port' Tab.
- For Network installations, proceed through the installer installing to
  LPT1 and then launch the Printer Wizard by selecting
  Start->Settings->Printers->Add Printer under 2000 or
  Start->Printers and Faxes->Add Printer under XP, and proceed to
  the 'Have Disk' option. The path of the files should be
  %SystemDir%\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86. A list of support Genicom models
  will be shown allowing for a network path to be issued on installation.
- Custom Paper Sizes can be defined by creating 'Forms'. To do this,
  select Start->Settings->Printers under 2000
  or Start->Printers and Faxes under XP, File and Server Properties. Define
  the Form/paper size and the new form will be selectable from within your
  applications.
- To define default driver settings that will be used by your applications,
  use select Start->Settings->Printers under 2000
  or Start->Printers and Faxes under XP, and select Printing Preferences.

Removal/upgrading of the Driver
---------------------
It is essential that the following steps are followed when upgrading the
driver.

- select Start, Settings, Printers and delete any previously installed
  Genicom ANSI drivers,
