Explanation to SAP - devicetypes from TALLY			        22.11.2001

In SAP, see also SAP-notice no: 8928, there are devicetypes for TALLY printer
and 
additional notice no: 0107938 (SAP R/3 devicetypes from the company TALLY).

The new devicetypes (should be used for all printers with MTPL-emulation) support
barcode and are optimize for SAP :

"ZTALLYB.pri" 	(support up to 3 automatic single sheet feeder(bins))
	    	T2x40, T2145, T2245, T2045/T2060, T2055/T2070, T2155/T2170, T2255,
		T2265, T2280, T3016 SprintJet, T3x10 SprintJet
		and all following printers
"ZTALLYF.pri" 	(support up to 3 fanfold tractors)
	    	T2x40, T2145, T2245, T2045/T2060, T2055/T2070, T2155/T2170, T2255, 
		T2265, T2280, T3016 SprintJet, T3x10 SprintJet, 
		T6045, T6050, T6090, T6091, T6100, T6101, 
		T6140/T6141, T6180, T6215, T6218
		and all following printers

These devicetypes can print barcode and OCR-A/B fonts. Codepage IS0 8859-1 (with
additional grafic-characters spec. for SAP) is used. These devicetypes/drivers 
are using the ESC-commands of the MTPL-emulation. 

These devicetypes/drivers are optimize for MTPL-printers in SAP.

Notice:    please upload these devicetypes/drivers with "SAPGUI" !

IMPORTANT: upload codepage S9130.cpa and then both ztallyb.pri and ztallyf.pri.
	   Instead of box-commands use v-line and u-line commands !
	   You must also use the actual firmware in the printers:
	      T2x40         ---- FW: 047989 "A" or later
	      T2045/T2060   ---- FW: 047578 "D" or later
	      T2055/T2070   ---- FW: 047916 "B" or later
              T2155/T2170   ---- FW: 048042 "-"
              all other printers in standard firmware included

	      lineprinters  ---- FW: 9.0 or later
				 menue configurations for lineprinters:
			         <CONFIG><Printer><Emulate>"MTPL"
			         <Graphic><MTPLBar>"OFF"

But these devicetypes do not support barcode !!

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
