* Network Adapters List *

The list is the net cards found on your system. Select the net card which
you want to configure by using the arrow key.


Key definition:

F1      Help screen about this menu.

Enter   Select the card and enter the main menu.

Esc     return to DOS.

* Configuration Menu *

The configuration menu consists of five functions:

1.  I/O Base Address

    I/O base address is assigned by PCI BIOS and can not be modified.


2.  Interrupt Output Line

    Interrupt is assigned by PCI BIOS and can not be modified.


3.  Physical Media Interface

    You can select 10Base-T/10Base-2/10Base-5 physical media. If you do not
    understand these, just select "Media Type Auto Detect".


4.  Boot ROM Base Address

    Boot ROM base address is assigned by PCI BIOS and can not be modified.
    You can select Boot ROM size for 16K, 32K or NO BOOTROM.


5.  PCI or Jumperless mode

    It is suggested that you select PCI mode.

    If you want to use ISA compatible IO, for example 0x300, You can select
    Jumperless mode.

F5      Diagnose this net card.

F8      Install the device drivers and utilities for this net card.

F10     Save the configuration permanently.

Enter   Enter the selected sub-menu.

* Install Drivers and Utilities Menu *

The "Install Drivers and Utilities Menu" consists of two functions:

    "DOS ODI Driver" can let you install the DOS ODI Driver from this
option.

    "DOS PACKET Driver" can let you install the DOS PACKET Driver from this
option.

Enter   Enter the selected sub-menu.

* Install DOS ODI Driver Menu *

        This menu is used to install the "DOS ODI driver" to your system. It
will copy the drivers to  your  system  and  update the  "NET.CFG" file.

Key definition:

F1      Help screen about this menu.

F10     Copy drivers and update the configuration files.

Enter   Enter the selected sub-menu.

Esc     return to previous menu.

* Install DOS PACKET Driver Menu *

        This menu is used to install the "DOS PACKET driver to your system.
It will copy the drivers to your system and update the "AUTOEXEC.BAT" file.

F10     Copy drivers and update the configuration files.

Enter   Enter the selected sub-menu.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
