for Windows 95 users regarding DFE-660 Ethernet PC Card installation.

    Follow the steps to install the DFE-660 Ethernet PC Card's driver:

    1. Start your PC, then insert the DFE-660 Ethernet
       PC Card into an available PC Card slot in your PC .

    2. After starting Windows 95, the PCI Ethernet Controller will be
       detected automatically, then the "Update Device Driver Wizard"
       window appears, and Windows displays the message

            "PCI Ethernet Controller"

    3. Insert the DFE-660 PC Card Installation diskette into drive A.

    4. Click the Next button in the Update Device Driver Wizard window.
       Win95 will start to search floppy drive A for network driver,
       and Windows displays the message

            "D-Link DFE-660 Fast Ethernet PC Card Adapter"

    5. Click Finish button,
       then the Win95 starts to copy the DFE-660 Fast Ethernet PC Card
       driver to the user's hard disk.

    6. Restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
