        A) Install DOS ODI Driver on Netware Server

A) Install DOS ODI Driver on Netware Server
===========================================

   1. Turn OFF your PC machine.
   2. Plug the DM9102 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter into the PCI slot
      of PC machine.
   3. Reboot your PC machine to DOS prompt.
   4. Insert the Driver diskette to the floppy (Drive A) and
      run the following command to log into the Netware server.

        C:\> A:
        A:\> CD \DOSODI
        A:\DOSODI> STARTNET.BAT

   5. Change directory to Netware Client installation directory.

        F:\> CD \PUBLIC\CLIENT\VLM\IBM_6    (for Netware 4.11)
        (or F:\> CD \PUBLIC\CLIENT\DOSWIN for Netware 4.10)

   6. Run "INSTALL" to install the Netware Client files.

        F:\PUBLIC\CLIENT\VLM\IBM_6> INSTALL.EXE

   7. Select "Select the driver for your network board."
      to install driver.
   8. Insert the Driver diskette to the floppy (Drive A) and
      enter "A:\DOSODI" to specify a directory path.
   9. Select "DAVICOM PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (DM9102)" to configure
      driver parameters.
  10. Select "DAVICOM PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (DM9102)" in Network Board
      to configure driver parameters.
  11. Choose the driver parameter (Line Speed, Media Type),
      if NO value, it will be the default value.

           Media Type : the default is AUTO. (AUTO, AUTOFULL, AUTOHALF,
                        100FULL, 100HALF, 10FULL, 10HALF, 1M, 1MHSLP,
                        1MHSLP, 1MHSHP, 1MLSLP, 1MLSHP)
    Rx Remote Command : the default is Disable Rx Remote Command.
                        (Set RXCMD to Enable Rx Remote Command)
  Send Remote Command : the default is Disable Send Remote Command.
                        (Set SENDCMD to Enable Send Remote Command)
      Rx Flow Control : the default is Disable Rx Flow Control.
                        (Set RXFLW to Enable Rx Flow Control)
      Tx Flow Control : the default is Disable Tx Flow Control.
                        (Set TXFLW to Enable Tx Flow Control)
          Virtual LAN : the default is Disable VLAN function.
                        (Set VLAN to Enable VLAN function)
           Line Speed : NO default value. (10, 100)

  12. Press <F10> key to save the driver parameters into NET.CFG file.
  13. Select "Highlight here and press <Enter> to Install."
      to complete the driver installation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
