To Update the Firmware in Windows 95 and above

1. Go to Start -- Run and type in A:\FIRMWARE [enter]

2. Double-click on "Topic Modem Update V1.02.exe".

3. Make sure you have the Dynalink modem connected to the PC and turned on. 
   Click on "Find Modem".  The program will then search for a modem on 
   the available COM ports.

4. Click on the "Open" button.  Browse to the extracted firmware file 
   "TPE10INT.bin", select it and click "Open".  The filename should now 
   appear in the "Firmware file" section of the program window.

5. Click "Upgrade".  The program will ask you if you wish to update the 
   older firmware with the newer firmware. Click "OK". When prompted to
   continue the upgrade, click "OK".

6. The program will report "The modem firmware has been updated 
   successfully".  If the modem runs for more than 2 minutes without 
   achieving any progress the chip on your modem is not upgradeable, 
   please contact Dynalink Support.

7. Click "Exit".

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
