---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To upgrade your SpeedStream router, first follow this link to download the new
firmware: http://www.speedstream.com/support/drivers/2602_firmware_v120.zip. This
self-extracting archive contains three files - a bootcode upgrade, a runtime upgrade,
and this readme file. Once you have extracted the files to a temporary folder, follow
the procedure below to upgrade your firmware:

UPGRADE PROCEDURE

1. Access the web interface of your SpeedStream 2602 router.

2. Select Tools from the menu, then select Update firmware.

3. Click the ENTER button.

4. Click the BROWSE button and navigate to the temporary folder where you extracted
the firmware files. Locate the BOOTCODE image file and select open

5. Click the START button and follow the instructions on screen 6. When finished,
repeat steps 2-5 but this time select the RUNTIME file.

After performing the above upgrade procedure and rebooting your router, the firmware
upgrade is complete. Verify that your configuration settings are still set properly and
you are still able to connect to the Internet. If there are any problems with your
configuration or Internet connection, either run the configuration wizard to reconfigure
your router, or restore your previous configuration from backup!
