Installing The NDIS 3.0 Driver
------------------------------

Installation of TE-PCI/W Ethernet Card's driver for specific environment is
described below.

Microsoft Windows NT
--------------------

Note:
-----
1) The directory structure provided on the TE-PCI/W Ethernet Card's driver
   diskette has been setup for automatic OEM installation. Also, more
   information can be found in the Microsoft Windows NT User's Guide.

2) Only x86-based Windows NT platforms are supported.

3) For Windows NT 3.5 installation, specify the driver
   source path to the following :

            \WINNT\NT35

4) For Windows NT 3.51 installation, specify the driver
   source path to the following :

            \WINNT\NT351

5) For Windows NT 4.0 installation, specify the driver
   source path to the following :

            \WINNT\NT40

Windows NT 3.5/ 3.51 Installation
---------------------------------

1       Insert the TE-PCI/W Ethernet Card's driver diskette into the floppy
        drive.

2       From the "Control Panel" in the "Windows NT Main" window, double click
        on the "Network" icon to install the TE-PCI/W Ethernet Card.

3       In the "Network Settings" dialog box, choose "Add Adapter".

4       In the "Add Network Adapter" dialog box, pull down the adapter card list
        menu and select "<Other> Requires disk from manufacturer" from the list
        and continue.

5       In the next window, enter:

                A:\WINNT\NT35 or A:\WINNT\NT351 or A:\WINNT\NT40

6       Then, select "PCI EthernetCard" from the dialog box to install
        the TE-PCI/W Ethernet Card.

7       Reboot your system to complete the driver installation process.

Windows NT 4.0 Installation
---------------------------

1       Insert the TE-PCI/W Ethernet Card's driver diskette into the floppy drive.

2       From the "Control Panel" in the "Windows NT My computer" window, double
        click on the "Network" icon to install the PCI Ethernet driver.

3       In the "Network Settings" dialog box, choose "Adapter".

4       Select "Add" to install PCI Ethernet driver.

5       In the "Add Network Adapter" dialog box, select "Have Disk" from the
        and continue.

6       In the next window, enter:

                A:\WINNT\NT40

7       Then, select "PCI EthernetCard" from the dialog box to install
        the TE-PCI/W Ethernet Card driver.

8       Restart computer to complete the driver installation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
