Date: Thu, 02 May 2002 18:15:39 -0400 From: Ed Schulz xxxxxxxxxx Organization: Agere Systems "Lucent Win Modem" (really Agere Systems) 8.22 for Linux is attached. This is V.92 code, but you'll only get V.92 features on a DSP1648C or APL43. APL43 is typically found behind an Intel 82559 on a Mini PCI LAN combo card. Even with V.92, there's not an effective way to use modem on hold on Linux. The best you can do is configure AT+PCW=1 to make the modem disconnect when it detects call waiting. V.92 PCM upstream is disabled by default in this code. We have not seen evidence that anyone will benefit from PCM upstream, at least with the V.92 server implementations so far. V.92 short startup is disabled by default. To enable it if you're calling a V.92 server from the same line repeatedly, use AT+PSS=1. It only saves you a few seconds in the time to connect, though. V.44 data compression is included here. -- Ed Schulz Agere SystemsDownload Driver Pack
