 * Installation for multi-cards *

   This installation is for drivers of SCO UNIX (Runtime v3.2.4x)
   with TCP/IP v.1.2.

     1). It is allowed to install 4 NICs.

     2). Support gateway function. (routing function)

     3). Statistic function is added when the following command is executed:
         # netstat -i

   SCO UNIX 3.2.4 Install Procedure
   ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

     Login to the network as root. (On maintenance mode)

     Insert the driver diskette in Drive A or Drive B and use the
      doscp command to copy the SCOUNIX Driver into the UNIX directory.

      example:

            # cd /
            # doscp a:/scounix/setup setup
            (or # doscp b:/scounix/setup setup)
            # chmod +x /setup
            # ./setup a:/scounix
            (or # ./setup b:/scounix)

     Add a chain by executing the netconfig command

      example:

            #netconfig

      A menu similar to the following appears on the screen:

            1) Add a chain
            2) Remove a chain
            3) Reconfigure an element in a chain
            4) Quit

         Select option 1 "Add a chain".

          The following prompt appears:

                Select top level of chain to Add or q to quit:

         Select sco_tcp for SCO TCP/IP for UNIX.

          The following message appears:

                Select next level of chain to Add or q to quit:

         Select tepci0. This value varies according to your card number.

          The following prompt appears:

                Add chain sco_tcp->tepci0 (y/n):

         Type "y" for yes.

      NOTE:
           Add chain sco_tcp  -> tepci0 unit 0 (y/n)
                              :
           Add chain sco_tcp  -> tepci3 unit 3 (y/n)
           It depends on card number.

      NOTE: If you are configuring board 0 then the following messages will
            prompt for specifying the access type of PCI bus as below

          Note:
            The default is to use the PCI BIOS calls (in 32-bit protected
            mode). Some systems may not support these calls, in which case
            there will be problems at boot time. If using a system that
            does not support 32-bit protected mode PCI BIOS calls, direct
            hardware accesses must be used.
            PCI mechanism 1 or PCI mechanism 2 should be selected depending
            on your machine support."

          Please specify the way used by PCI to access hardware.........

            0. Use 32-bit protected mode PCI BIOS calls.
            1. Direct access to the HW, using PCI mechanism 1.
            2. Direct access to the HW, using PCI mechanism 2.

          Enter number of PCI access type selection (0 1 2) [0] or 'q' to quit:

         Type in the PCI access way number.

          The following message appears:

                2. 100 MB/sec mode.
                3. Automatic detection between 10 MB/sec and 100 MB/sec mode.

         Type in the line speed number.

       specify this value, please check it.
       The IRQ for PCI bus can be accessed by pressing [DEL] key when system
       is power on and choose the proper select item to set IRQ for PCI bus.
