Getting Started will describe the installation instructions. Requirements ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ A PCI compatible computer IBM LAN SUPPORT and LAN Services A PCI Family Series Adapter A knowledge of basic DOS commands and editing text files Minimum Skill Level ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ A knowledge of basic DOS commands A knowledge of editing text files A knowledge of DOS basic file structure (CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT) A knowledge of the network driver configuration being used Getting Started ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Installation for IBM Lan Support 1.3x (see below for Lan Services 4.x) ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Please use Method 1 or 2 for this installation Method 1 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Using the .NIF file: Insert the LAN Support diskette into Drive A. Run the install program. A:\> DXMAID [Enter] The following message then appears: "Do you have driver diskettes?" [Yes] (You can press [Space] to switch between No and Yes.) After copying LAN Support, specify the drive and path of the DOS NDIS files reside. For example: C:\LSP [Enter] The installation procedure terminates after the necessary files are copied. Method 2 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Modifying the contents of the CONFIG.SYS and PROTOCOL.INI files after installing other NICs Copy the TEPCI.DOS file to the directory where your IBM LAN Support program resides. Modify the NDIS device driver statement in the CONFIG.SYS as below: DEVICE = [drive]:\path\TEPCI.DOS Modify the PROTOCOL.INI file as below: BINDINGS = TEPCII_NIF : : [TEPCII_NIF] DRIVERNAME = TEPCI$ IBM LAN Services v4.x installation instructions ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Execute the installation program from the IBM DOS LAN SERVICES diskette. Type: >a:\install From the Network card field, select "Network card not shown in list below...". Specify the path for the corresponding oemsetup.inf file of the OEM driver intended for use. Then, press Enter. The program then displays the driver name. Check that the driver configuration is correct or nit. Complete the installation, restart your system to use the DOS LAN Services.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
