LLI Driver Installation for SCO OpenServer version 5.0

Getting Started
---------------
The necessary files for driver installation for SCO OpenServer are stored
in a compressed format which can be decompressed in the OpenServer system.
Installation Procedure
----------------------
1. Login SCO OpenServer as root user. (On maintenance mode)
2. Copy the compressed file ngrXXX.Z (XXX is the version number,
eg. ngr224.Z) from the \SCO directory of the driver diskette into
your hard disk.
3. Use the doscp command to copy the SCO OpenServer Driver into the UNIX
system.
example:
# cd /temp
# doscp /<path>/ngr224.Z ngr224.Z
4. Uncompress ngrXXX.Z to ngrXXX,
example:
# uncompress ngr224
5. Copy the file to a blank 3.5" floppy diskette.
example:
#dd if=ngr224 of=/dev/fd0135ds18

6. Use "custom" to install the driver
Execute "custom"

Using the [->] key to move the cursor to the "Software" menu item.
Press the [] key to get into the pull down menu, then move to
"Install New..." and press [ENTER].

At this time the driver is installed in the system successfully.
7. Use "netconfig" to configure the driver.

down menu. Move to "Add new LAN adapter" and press [ENTER].

3. Automatic detection between 10 MB/sec and 100 MB/sec mode.
Enter the Line speed selection number (0 1 2 3)[0] or 'q' to quit: 0
Note: The default value of line speed is Automatic detection mode.
The "line speed" and "media mode" option must be used together.
When setting the line speed to Automatic detection mode, the
"media mode" must be set to "Use default valuel".

Note: Please check and make sure that the IRQ number matches the
value set in ROM-BIOS before you specify this value.
The IRQ for PCI devices can be accessed by rebooting the system,
pressing [DEL] when the system is powering on and choosing the
proper select item to set the IRQ for PCI devices.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
