The following text file describes the installation procedure for some of the most popular operating systems supporting the NDIS 2.0 drivers: File Description ------------ --------------------------------------------- LANTASTI.TXT NDIS2 driver installation for LANtastic The operating system listed above is only one of the network operating systems that supports the NDIS 2.0 driver. Any system that uses the NDIS 2.0.1 driver is functionally compatible with the NDIS drivers included in the driver diskette. Configuration Parameters in PROTOCOL.INI for NGRPCI.DOS ------------------------------------------------------- When the FA310TX NDIS 2 for DOS driver, NGRPCI.DOS, is loaded into the network operating system, the driver looks into the PROTOCOL.INI file for specific configuration requirement. The keywords are optional and come with their respective default values. DRIVERNAME - This keyword specifies the driver name for the adapter. NETWORKADDRESS - This keyword specifies the MAC address (in hex) used by the adapter. This option is used only to override the node address stored in the adapter. With this keyword specified, the specified address will be used instead of the adapter's actual MAC address stored in the serial ROM. DATA_RATE - This parameter specifies the data rate of the network adapter. If DATA_RATE is not specified, the adapter card will automatically detect the data rate. Allowed Parameters: MB10, MB100 SLOT - This parameter specifies the slot number used for notifications. For PCI slot, you can specify from 1 to 16. SIA_MODE - This parameter specifies the connector type configuration of the network adapter card. Allowed Parameters: AUTOSENSE, TP, TP_FULL_DUPLEXDownload Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
