NETGEAR FA310 Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter
                 ---------------------------------------
                    NDIS Driver Installation Overview
                    ---------------------------------

  Introduction
  ------------
The included NDIS 2 for DOS driver complies with the Microsoft NDIS
v2.0.1 specification. The following text file describes the installation
procedure for some of the most popular operating systems supporting the
  NDIS 2.0 drivers:

    File Description
    ------------ ---------------------------------------------
LANTASTI.TXT NDIS2 driver installation for LANtastic

The operating system listed above is only one of the network
operating systems that supports the NDIS 2.0 driver. Any
system that uses the NDIS 2.0.1 driver is functionally compatible
with the NDIS drivers included in the driver diskette.

Configuration Parameters in PROTOCOL.INI for NGRPCI.DOS
  -------------------------------------------------------
When the FA310TX NDIS 2 for DOS driver, NGRPCI.DOS, is loaded into
the network operating system, the driver looks into the PROTOCOL.INI
file for specific configuration requirement. The keywords are
optional and come with their respective default values.

DRIVERNAME - This keyword specifies the driver name for the
                     adapter.

NETWORKADDRESS - This keyword specifies the MAC address (in hex)
used by the adapter. This option is used only to
override the node address stored in the adapter.
With this keyword specified, the specified address
will be used instead of the adapter's actual MAC
address stored in the serial ROM.

DATA_RATE - This parameter specifies the data rate of the network
adapter. If DATA_RATE is not specified, the adapter
card will automatically detect the data rate.

                     Allowed Parameters: MB10, MB100

SLOT - This parameter specifies the slot number used for
notifications. For PCI slot, you can specify from
                     1 to 16.

SIA_MODE - This parameter specifies the connector type
configuration of the network adapter card.

                     Allowed Parameters: AUTOSENSE, TP, TP_FULL_DUPLEX
