           EN2216/2316 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter
         Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Driver Installation
	    
   Windows NT 4.0 provides support for PCMCIA adapters.
   Before installing your EN2216/2316 adapter, please make sure
   the PCMCIA device is started and working.   You can check
   the status of the PCMCIA device by double clicking the "Devices"
   icon in the Control Panel.  If the PCMCIA device is not 
   started, you can click the "Start" button to start it.

   1)  Click  "Start" command button, select the "Settings" icon to display an
       option list.

   2)  Click the "Control Panel" icon.

   3)  Double-click the "Network" icon.

   4)  In the "Network" dialog box, click the "Add..." command button.
       The "Select Network Adapter" dialog box appears with a list of pre-installed
       adapter drivers for some popular network adapter cards.  Accton's EN2216 is
       listed as one of the adapters.

   5)  Select "Accton EN2216 Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter" from the list of network
       cards and press <Enter>.

   6)  You will be prompted to type in the location for the NT 4.0 installation files.
       Type in the appropriate path in the text box provided and press <Enter>.

       When you are prompted to enter the values for the "IRQ Level" for "I/O Port 
       address", enter appropriate values which are not used by any other device.

       The default values are:
       
	IRQ Level	= 5
	I/O Port Address	= 0x300

   7)  Complete the installation by clicking on the "Bindings" option.

   8)  Restart the system to bring up the network.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
