    When you install the Red Hat Linux, please use "custom" option 
and select all item. ("everything" item)
(Unless you know what item is necessary for network.)

    If you follow the above descriptions, you only need to setup 
NETWORK SETTING.

    If you have ethernet LAN card, please disable it (ifconfig eth0 down).


Installation step (on GNOME Window)

1. Start->Run
2. type "kppp" command on dialog box.
3. click "Setup" button
4. click "New" item
5. click "Dialog Setup"
6. type your connection name on "Connection Name"
   click "Add" button to add "Phone Number" (your ISP phone number)
   click "OK" button to set "Device" item
7. Modem Device: /dev/ttyS2 (or other)
   Connection Speed: 115200
8. Change to "Modem" item, if you don't set anything, click "OK" button.
9. Now type your "Login ID" and "Password" to connect your ISP.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
