Flash Text.txt Driver File Contents (3022_204.zip)

CAUTION: To update, make sure that you are using a Win95 or Win98 boot disk ONLY. Also make sure to press the F5 key immediately once the floppy disk starts to be used so that all memory resident programs will be blocked out. If this is not accomplished then you will get an error during the flash procedure instructing that HIMEM programs are present and the flash will be halted.

In your bios package download you will receive 2 seperate bios packages named Flash and Flash 1. Follow the instructions contained below and you will successfully flash your bios.

This particular bios requires a few extra steps to insure that the flash process has worked. You will use 2 seperate flash utilities but the same bios file both times. The previous bios version v1.05 BIOS doesn't support the online flash function for bios chip manufacturer PMC 49LF004T chip, you will use the "flash.exe" utility to update the BIOS image first by simply typing flash. That will accomplish the flash of the v2.05 bios upon the PMC bios chip. After the flash has completed you'll need to reboot the system once more with the Win95/98 boot disk and follow the same F5 key pressing to get you back to a clean A:. The second step would be to flash the bios once more by using the "amiflash.com" utility and typing in flash1

By flashing the bios twice you have updated the bios to be able to use the PMC bios chip and then the second flash insures that the bios has been flashed correctly for future use.
