This README file provides a short description of the contents of the CD. The instructions in this README are based upon having ActiveSync installed on your host PC. You can download the newest version of ActiveSync host PC software from Microsoft's web site at: http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/ NOTE: This README may not be displayed properly in all text editors. Please use Notepad, or WordPad if you experience any difficulties. SETUP CENTER INSTALL PROCESS: For Windows Internet Explorer Users - When prompted with the option during the install process in the "File Download" window to either: "Run this program from its current location" or "Save this program to disk" You MUST select "Run this program from its current location" or "Open" for the installation process to run without errors. Do NOT select "Save this program to disk". When the "Security Warning" window appears, click Yes to continue. If you use Netscape you have the following options: a) Close your Netscape browser and use Windows Explorer to browse to the root of the CD and manually launch SETUP.HTM and then follow the instructions above; or b) Exit the Setup Center, browse the CD to the WinCE directory and manually launch the SETUP.EXE file found in this directory (not the SETUP.EXE at the root). CD CONTENTS: \BE-300 This directory contains 56K Modem installation software for Casio BE 300 Pocket Manager only. To run this installation, you must use PC Connect for CASSIOPEIA software. \CAB Files This directory includes the Windows CE CAB files for the 56K Modem CF Card. These are self-installing files that contain the Windows CE drivers. The files are identified by the version of Windows CE OS and processor type. \DOCS 56Kdatatsheet.pdf PDF version of the data sheet for the Socket 56K Modem CF Card 56Kquickstart.pdf PDF version of the Socket 56K Modem Quick Start Guide. \HTML This directory contains the html files used in the Setup center. \Third_Party A directory of various third party applications. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
